Carina A. Stiefel (she/they) is a Swiss-Brazilian transdisciplinary artist working across poetic storytelling, sound, movement, and performance.
With a background spanning fashion, theatre and film, performing arts, voice, and body-based practices, their path has unfolded non-linearly — through processes of reduction, shedding, and deepening. Over time, their work has shifted from material forms toward subtler practices rooted in the body as instrument.

Their current focus lies in experimental sound, voice, improvisation, and music production. Working with complexity, contradiction, and imperfection as inherent human qualities, they integrate vulnerability, dissonance, and multiplicity as compositional forces.
Through soundscapes, performative frameworks, and participatory formats, their work explores intimacy, spirituality, sexuality, and the unseen layers of human experience. Often engaging with silenced subjects or societal taboos, their practice has increasingly moved away from passive spectatorship toward co-creation — dissolving the borders between performer and audience.

For Them, art and healing are not separate fields, but different expressions of the same practice. At the center of their work lies a belief in art as more than entertainment or consumption: as a relational and transformative force, capable of creating connection, awareness, and change. Spirituality quietly connects their work — not as doctrine, but as an embodied way of listening, relating, and participating in something larger than oneself.
